About us

As part of the health system of the Republic of Macedonia, the laboratory since the first day of its existence works as a Declared state primary health provider according the contract with the Health Fund of the Republic of Macedonia offering health services that are received at the expense of the Fund only with a charged co-payment. This enabled the shortening of long waits for receiving laboratory services from primary health care. Our tender offered professionalism, expertise and kindness.

This greatly facilitates and completes the work of the many State declared primary health providers physicians who are in the immediate vicinity, but soon it gain the trust of many physicians who refer their patients for laboratory tests at a proven and established laboratory.
Initially, it started operating as a general practice clinic with a biochemical laboratory, and in 2012 another organizational unit was opened – a diagnostic biochemical laboratory.

The diagnostic laboratory, which was promoted on 12.07.2012 with a location in the very center of the city on st. “Cane Vasilev‟ no. 5, not only confirmed the trust of our colleagues and our patients but also offered a wider range of analyzes which brought the latest research methods closer to the needs of patients in Bitola, Prilep, Kicevo, Resen and Demir Hisar.

The following units operate within the health institution:
– General practice clinic with one doctor in general medicine practitioner and a nurse, which provides health care from primary health level
– Biochemical laboratory with the following staff: 2 graduate engineers in applied chemistry, 2 senior medical laboratory analysts who provide laboratory service prescribed by the primary package of F.H.O.

– Diagnostic biochemical laboratory with one specialist in medical biochemistry, and one senior medical laboratory analyst who offer a comprehensive and wide range of laboratory tests.

Patients who use health services can be sure that in P.H.I. “Dr. Kosturski” will receive the precisely determined results in a timely manner, will be provided with expert interpretation of the results as well as expert advice on the selection of tests that are necessary to diagnose their health condition. Usually you complete this whole process in a few hours during a day.

What we are especially proud of is OUR CONFIRMED QUALITY, as evidenced by the certificates of eminent reference laboratories where we confirm the quality of our work every month. These are the PREVECAL laboratories in Spain and INSTADT from Germany. These certificates testify to our commitment to offer accurate, precise and quality results.
